Guitarist, composer, producer, and arranger Chieli Minucci has continued to carry the band’s torch, and is still the longtime leader of the Grammy-nominated jazz-fusion group SPECIAL EFX featuring Chieli Minucci, a major force on the jazz and world music scene for over 40 years.

In Hungary, the bandleader of Djabe, Attila Égerházi, released the latest Special EFX album on vinyl. On this occasion, the Djabe band played together with Chieli at the Budapest Jazz Club. The musicians then decided to embark on a joint Hungarian tour in May 2024

The tour was christened the Tour of Waterfalls. Djabe and Chieli also have a composition called Waterfall. The two compositions frame the show, in which Chieli Minucci, Djabe and Special EFX songs will be played.
